Acupuncture is a form of healing that corrects imbalances of energy in different meridians or pathways on the body. In certain parts of the body congestion can occur making it hard for the flow of energy to move properly through the body. This creates the pain or imbalances. By inserting needles in specific points on the body we are able to release the stagnation and start to promote the healing process. Acupuncture can be used for a wide variety of conditions, from emotional disorders to digestive complaints. Rehabilitation due to sports injury, trauma or pre and post surgical procedures. Acupuncture can also help with addictions. I use a variety of Traditional base Chinese acupuncture (TCM), and Japanese acupuncture, Trigger points release (finding tender spots), and Auricular acupuncture. These different approaches will be tailored for specific conditions. The treatment you receive will always include another form of modality. This can include moxa, cupping, or ear acupuncture.
Some might think that lying with needles in them for 20 minutes might not appeal to everyone. On the other hand, Hormonal Replacement Therapy often employed to make menopause more bearable-has some problems of its own, including an increase risk of coronary heart disease, stroke and breast cancer. Often menopause comes with a wide range of unpleasant symptoms, such as insomnia, anxiety, irritability, night sweats, and of course hot flashes.
Hot flashes are the single most common symptom reported by women going through menopause. This condition is characterized by sudden feeling of intense heat combined with excessive perspiration and a rapid heartbeat. Hot flashes can occur several times per day lasting anywhere between 2 to 30 minutes. Muscle pain, joint pain, irritablility, weight gain, pelvic floor issues are unfortunately additional menopausal signs. Acupuncture, Bio Feedback, Body Work and Kinesiology (energy corrective work ) will be used to balance all hormones treatments.
This treatment is specifically directed to treat and resolve conditions that have been diagnosed by a physician. I can use a variety of modalities and or procedures during the treatment. This treatment focuses on Trigger Points within the affected muscles. When the muscle groups are released this leads to better range of motion and healing can occur.

Cupping is an ancient Chinese form of alternative medicine. Glass or silicone cups are placed over a specific area of healing. This modality uses stationary cupping as well as a slide method. These methods are used to stimulate blood flow in an area that might be stagnant. This also allows for the free flow of qi, breaks up adhesions, flushes toxins, balances meridians, and aids with fascia work. .
Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese treatment that involve the burning of mugwort to facilitate healing. The purpose of moxa is to strengthen the blood, stimulate the flow of qi and to maintain general health. This is a warming treatment use to bring healing cells to the areas of application.
